We’ve made it to my favorite season in the PNW! Fall here means grape-stomping in Woodinville, a giant beer-filled pumpkin on Capitol Hill, and some of the best leaf color in the Pacific Northwest at the Washington Park Arboretum. The short answer: pick one big event (the Great Pumpkin Beer Festival or a Woodinville harvest tasting), one foliage walk, and one pumpkin patch, and you've got a full fall weekend covering both sides of Lake Washington. Best Pumpkin Patches Near Seattle & the Eastside
On the Eastside: Serres Farm in Redmond, The Pumpkin Farm and Puzzle Patch in Woodinville, and Kelsey Creek Farm Fair in Bellevue are all within 15-20 minutes of most Eastside neighborhoods.
A little further out (30-45 minutes from either Seattle or the Eastside): Remlinger Farms in Carnation, Craven Farm in Snohomish, Fall City Farms near Snoqualmie Falls, Jubilee Farm in Carnation, and Swan Trail Farms north of Bellevue, which pairs U-pick Cosmic Crisp apples with its own patch and corn maze.
From Seattle proper, the fastest options are Remlinger Farms or the Eastside patches above — there isn't a working pumpkin patch inside Seattle city limits, so plan on a 25-40 minute drive either direction.

Great Pumpkin Beer Festival — Elysian Brewing's Capitol Hill flagship, Saturday, October 3, 2026, 4-10 p.m.: 60+ pumpkin and seasonal beers, a giant beer-filled pumpkin tapped live, costume contests, and a pumpkin pie-eating competition. 21+, tickets required and sell out early.
Pumpkin Bash at Woodland Park Zoo — runs daily through October 31, included with zoo admission; a family-friendly way to do Halloween without the crowds of a ticketed event.
BOO Seattle — a ticketed Halloween weekend event at WAMU Theater, typically the final weekend of October.
Seattle Restaurant Week (Fall Edition) — prix-fixe menus at restaurants across the city (and several on the Eastside, including Kirkland), typically running through early November.

Kirkland's Harvest Festival — Saturday, October 3, 2026, at Juanita Beach Park; free, with food trucks, live music, and a Kids Korral.
Kelsey Creek Farm Fair — Bellevue's own fall festival at Kelsey Creek Park, typically early October.
Chateau Ste. Michelle's Crush Harvest Festival — grape stomping and wine tasting in Woodinville each fall; 21+ to stomp, all ages to watch.
Issaquah Salmon Days — one of the region's largest fall street festivals, usually the first weekend of October, celebrating the salmon run with a parade and arts fair.

Best Fall Foliage Spots in Seattle & the Eastside
In Seattle: the Washington Park Arboretum is the top pick — 230 acres of maples, oaks, and Japanese maples that peak in late October, with Azalea Way as the classic photo walk. Kubota Garden in Rainier Beach offers a quieter, more curated Japanese-style garden with striking maple color. Volunteer Park and Seward Park both offer old-growth and ornamental color within the city.
On the Eastside: the Bellevue Botanical Garden (53 acres, free), Juanita Bay Park in Kirkland (flat boardwalk through wetlands), and the Sammamish River Trail through Woodinville all turn reliably by mid-to-late October.
Cozy Coffee Shops & Restaurants for Fall
Seattle's fall coffee culture needs no introduction, but for a fall-specific outing, pair a foliage walk with a nearby café: Capitol Hill and Madrona both sit close to the Arboretum, and Rainier Beach has options near Kubota Garden. Snoqualmie Falls (30-40 minutes) is especially dramatic once fall rains pick up the flow, and Fall City Farms is right on the way for a pumpkin patch stop.
